TJ, Our adopted Hearing Assist Chihuahua
January 13, 2021
TJ is a big, brave dog trapped in a small dogs body. My husband, Bob, is deaf and has always trained his dogs to be hearing assist service dogs. After our Weimaraner died, we adopted a 4.5 yr old Chihuahua named TJ. Being an adult Chihuahua, Bob was uncertain that he’d be able to train TJ but TJ learned faster than any of his previous dogs. True to a Chihuahua’s nature, TJ is extremely protective of both of us both at home and when he’s in “his” car however, every where we go he has always been friendly, happy, and well behaved.
