My new favorite thing

Mom and Dad took me to the lake and I found I LOVE swimming. I still love playing ball too but swimming is just my very favorite thing now!!

Time to take a break

I just ran and ran and ran after my ball for over an hour straight. I did take a dip or two in my pool but now I just need to rest for a minute or so.

I have my own pool!

It was 40 degrees celcius for 3 full weeks this July. Mom and Dad got me a pool of my own, now I can lay in fresh cold water when I get over heated playing ball.

I am action dog!

I live for the ball, the ball is life, life is good, ball is in the air, I am in the air, ball is good. My mom and dad spend at least 2 hours a day playing ball with me.

Biden signs bill providing service dogs for the struggling..

President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed into law a pilot program to connect veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder with service dogs.

The Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers for Veterans Therapy Act — PAWS — requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to establish a five-year program to provide service dogs and training to veterans with PTSD.

A co-sponsor of the bill, Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-N.J., a Navy veteran, was at the White House for the signing. She said in a tweet that similar programs have shown “great results” with veterans and that “we want to give that access to even more people.”

She said the signing was “the culmination of years of hard work to bolster services to address our veterans’ mental and physical health from so many people.”

Rory Diamond, CEO of K9s For Warriors, a nonprofit organization in Florida that provides service dogs to veterans, commended the White House for its support for the bill, which was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support this year. Diamond said it was “a critical step in combating veteran suicide.”

Schools become political ‘battlefield’ in culture wars Trump cultivated
From 2005 to 2018, nearly 90,000 veterans died by suicide, according to the most recent report from the VA.

As many as 20 of 100 veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts have PTSD, according to the VA. The coronavirus pandemic has caused even more stress for veterans, with calls to the veterans crisis line surging by more than 15 percent last year. And experts agree that PTSD is underreported.

Angel nick name Angel Baby

On our way to visit family in CO Sept. 2020. Drove there and rented a cabin each night at KOA campsites. We put the back seat down so while my husband drove sometimes I would sit up front but most of the time I laid with Angel in the cozy nest we had made back there of blankets and pillows. My adult son lives at 9,000 alt. in the mountains of a small town. Angel had a great time making friends with my sons dog Baily. He has several hummingbird feeders up around his yard. At first Angel was quite confused about the tiny birds flitting around. She sat by my side watching the birds then looking at me. But after a short while she got used to them. My son had made a wellness visit with his vet for Angel. We wanted to interduce her and us and have us in their records in case anything did happen. They were so kind and friendly. Everyone who worked there came out to see our Angel. We were also told what symptom’s to look for in regards to altitude sickness. Angel did great on the trip.
