Xena, the best pupper ever!

Xena is the sweetest most loveable pitbull you’ll ever meet. She’s had a tough past. She was abused, hit by a car, and treated poorly for so long. That is until one day my coworker asked if I wanted a dog. I had been wanting a dog for a while so of course I said yes! But then he told me Xena’s story. He had taken her from his father cuz he’s the one that was abusing her. I was told that some of the abuse and pain he caused her included hitting her with a board that had nails in it. We can’t be sure but under her right armpit we can feel a short hard object. We believe it could be one of the nails from that board that has broken off under her skin because it has pointy ends. It doesn’t bother her as long as we leave it alone though so the vet said it’s probably best to just leave it there. The day we brought her home she was severely flea covered. I gave my coworker a flea collar for her so he could put it on before I met her. But omg.. She had the worse case of fleas I’ve ever seen. She would fall over in relief if you barely rubbed her:/ So I immediately gave her a flea bath when I got her home. Unfortunately the damage was done and she had a permanent bald spot above her tail:p Even after she came home with us you could see the sadness in her eyes. It took a while but now she finally knows she’s safe and loved! Looking into her beautiful eyes now all you can see is how happy and spoiled she is lol. I also haven’t had the best past. It’s been tough for me too but with Xena by my side I could conquer the world <3 And that is exactly why she’s the perfect emotional support dog! We’ve both been through hell and she’s gotten me through all the hard times. She still needs a little work with being in public. She gets so excited to see people sometimes that she barks until they come say hi and pet her lol. But I believe that once she’s used to being out in public more she’ll be just fine and perfectly calm around everyone? She is truly the best best pupper ever!!!
