Chewy knows when something is wrong. Even when something is not necessarily wrong he will still stay close to me, where he can see me and come to me if I need him.

He will stay close to me, he will try to keep my attention. When I am upset and he sences panic / anxiety attacks, he will press against me in a way to hug me. He will get on my lap and lean against me to create pressure to help calm to nervous systems.

Its very calming and grounding when Chewy does these and I can bury my face into his hair and pet him, this brings me back to the moment and helps to keep me calm.

He has also recently began to do these things with my children. If they are upset and crying he will go to them, sometimes paw them to get their attention and nudge them to get them to pet him, this always makes them smile and start interacting with him rather than being upset.
